SELLING OUT THEIR SUMMER INTENSIVE

with consistent brand strategy in just 9 months

CLIENT OVERVIEW

The Rock School for Dance is known for producing some of the most talented professional ballet dancers in the world throughout its 65-year school history. While they had an established training program with excellent facilities, they were lagging behind in social media like many ballet schools in America.

CHALLENGE

Peter Stark, President of The Rock School, reached out to expand the opportunities for growth of the school through efficient means of marketing through social media. The school needed more students AND needed to sell out their first Nutcracker production post-COVID.

CONTENT STRATEGY

As the goal of the school is to increase student enrollment for their advanced programs, the main focus of the content was to display the ballet training and life as a ballet student at the Rock School consistently.

One of the school’s strengths was their wide range of teaching styles  available through their talented faculty. Tied together with our capabilities to extract the best moments from their classes, we were able to generate several viral videos, double their followers, and significantly increase their brand image in the dance community again.

GROWING THE SECOND LOCATION

The unique challenge of this school is their sister school, Rock West. Like many schools, they needed to work with limited ad budget as well as overall marketing budgets.

By growing the overall brand of the main location, Rock West grew significantly in enrollment for both the year-round and summer intensive programs.

SELLING TICKETS WITH PAID ADS

Many schools faced challenges coming back to their bigger productions like The Nutcracker following COVID. Many families who typically came to shows year after year stopped – it was time to find new patrons quickly.

The most efficient mode of letting the local area know about ballet shows is paid ads. With a limited ad budget alongside our organic marketing efforts, we were able to sell more than $180K in tickets for their shows. This year, they are ahead of last year’s ticket sales by 5X just within the first month of promotions.
