We’re Jeong Media (aka Jeong X), a social & monetization agency for expert brands and media shows. Our clients do millions of views a month. Your job is to turn that raw attention into high‑retention YouTube episodes and scroll‑stopping clips.   If you want a place to relax, this is not it. The Role   
Position: Remote Video Editor (YouTube + Shorts)
Type: Full‑time, remote, must work 6 days per week

You will:

  • Edit 5-10 minute YouTube videos from talking‑head, interview, and news/commentary footage + trailers, documentary style videos, and long-form interviews.
  • Cut each episode into multiple 45-90 second vertical clips for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts.
  • Add pacing, jump cuts, pattern interrupts, B‑roll, screenshots, and visual callouts to keep people watching.
  • Add clean subtitles, lower thirds, and simple motion graphics following brand guidelines.
  • Follow naming and folder systems so our team can move fast.
  • Take feedback, iterate quickly, and improve from examples and performance data.

  What You Need

  • Proven experience editing both long‑form YouTube videos and short‑form social clips (portfolio required).
  • Strong skills in Premiere Pro / DaVinci / Final Cut (and basic audio cleanup & color).
  • Deep understanding of hooks, retention, and pacing for YouTube + TikTok/Reels/Shorts.
  • Strong written English and reliable communication in a remote team.
  • A stable editing setup and the ability to hit deadlines without hand‑holding.

  What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)

  • You consistently deliver 2 long‑form videos + 10 shorts per week on time.
  • Fewer than 10% of edits need more than one revision.
  • Your edits match or beat our best current examples on watch time and engagement.
  • You’re proactive: you suggest hooks, trims, and improvements instead of just “taking orders.”

You deliver:
– 1 edited 5 minute YouTube‑style video; strong hook is required

You get paid for the test, whether or not you’re hired. Must complete the test within the time period.
